FIFA 09 PS3 Game

It is generally accepted worldwide, even by EA, that the 2008 entry in the FIFA series of games fell short of expectations. EA have noticeably taken this information on board to produce one of the best football games that money can buy. EA even appear to have been exceptionally receptive to their fans listening to criticism and feedback from many fans, forums, and critics.
Gameplay Enhancements
The gameplay throughout the complete range of FIFA games has always been good, there`s no doubt about that. EA have therefore employed the idea of `if it`s not broke then don`t fix it` and have only made minor tweaks rather than revamping all of the individual gameplay ingredients. The balanced approach between the two key elements, speed and physicality, seems to have been honed to perfection. This provides a much more realistic gaming experience on the field, more akin with a natural game of football. This leads to more fluid build-up and allows greater strategic plays to finally work.
Custom Tactics
EA have launched into the latest FIFA offering with an excellent new feature enabling full customisation of the in game tactics. All games these days allow you to manually specify certain tactics templates producing quick break chances, offside trap positioning or a more defensive mode for the more conservative of player.

However, EA have now provided the opportunity to specify player aggressiveness when going for the ball. Slider bars can be set to dictate the `enthusiasm` that your players display when going in for tackles which has certainly been a missing factor in most of the games in the market today. 50/50 challenges have just got much more interesting!
Accurate Physics
Physics you say? Well, now that EA are paying more attention to the finer points of their games they have decided to include accurate physics in terms of players` vital statistics. Never before have weight and bulk of players come into the game so much. This is especially evident when defending. The strength difference between players can easily be seen now providing a much more realistic experience. Just beware that with strength comes the inherent speed restrictions so don`t go chucking you your heaviest lump straight in at centreback as you`ll soon be watching the nippy strikers go streaking past you into the box!

The physics doesn`t stop there though, EA have made a concerted effort to make the ball behaviour seem even more realistic than ever. This is especially noticeable when bouncing off different parts of the body and the speed at which impact occurs.
Overall Gaming Experience
The overall experience has been increased thanks to many new environmental enhancements including some fantastic new camera angles. It`s amazing how different the game seems by simply varying the viewing angle once in a while. Such a small change actually creates a completely new game increasing the lifecycle of the game no end.
EA have made such an excellent attempt to plug the holes in the previous versions of the game and have achieved a much smoother, more complete experience. Is it finally time for FIFA to regain its rightful place at the top of the football simulation games? If you`re trying to figure out what video games to spend your hard earned cash on then this one should be at the top of your list.
