I bought it to play online with a friend so we can do the mission in the Co-op mode. This is a lot of fun, what we did not expect was to have the game as a public game. As we were playing, others from all around the world would join us and be on out team. Although this was unexpected it made the game even more fun and helped complete some of the missions.

I don’t own any other flight games so I wanted to get something that was good fun and not too hard to play so I could play it every now and then.

The game is very arcade based with quick mission information and those little noises each time you choose something on the menu. I do find myself hitting the button to skip all the menu but I do occasionally choose a different plane from the recommended plane. I have not played the game enough to have the option to choose different weapons yet but I’m sure it won’t be long before I go up a level as the first few missions are pretty easy to complete. However there was one mission that kept us occupied. I am not 100% sure which one it was now but we had to defend a plane from air attacks from all directions. It took us a few attempts to get through to the end as it kept being shot down.

This game is OK not the best one out there by far but it is fun to play and as I only paid £10.00 including the delivery I am more than happy with it. If it were full priced i think I wold have been disappointed to of bought it.

Thank goodness for demos

The story is what really captures the game I really like the way the new characters you meet have a reason for being there. Each new creature you encounter also being new moves and new finishing moves to get the souls from them which is great as seeing the same moves all the time gets boring.

I just like this game as it brings something different to my usual games I play, form now on I think I will be looking more into RPG games as they are easy to get into and easy to pick and put down when I get the time.

Darksiders is a great RPG game with no fuss. God of War  is a game with extra features to activate certain fight scenes for different characters as you fight them but Darksiders is a no nonsense game that delivers a nice story and visual effects. I played this demo and enjoyed it so much I went out and bought it, the same day.

What I liked about this game as that you could simply pick up the pad and get on with the game. I liked the fact you had a helper at times and the demon who cold trade or let you buy things from him.

I also liked the little features in the game where you have to drag a block or shoot a fireball bomb at something to find extra things, a bit Tombraider thrown in for good measure.

I can see why the play us magazine gave the game a 10/10 as it is just so easy to pick up and play. It is good fun trying to find different items and doorways plus the creatures are fun to figure out how to defeat them. The story bring the whole thing together so you know why you are playing the game and to what you need to do.

The controls and movement are much better than God of War, where as in GOD of War the camera was sometimes set in Darksiders you have full control to look around and search the area.

Right from the beginning after the cut scene explaining the story you are thrown into a city to fight some creatures. Climbing and jumping around some building you eventually come up against a giant creature. I just liked the fact it put you right into the game, no messing around.

Throwing cars is also fun

It starts of with lots of… Heavy Rain, what a surprise. A car pulls up and you meet your first character and get to interact with the game immediately. At first the graphics looked shockingly bad but then suddenly the face of the main character was in focus and the graphics were extremely good.

It took a bit of getting used to as I had to get my gaming head off and just try not to think too much, a game definitely for those wanting to pretty much be told a story.

I wish the demo had a bit more in it though as it let me control a couple of different characters and then the demo was over. All a bit quick if you ask me.

The controls were OK but as you have to press buttons at certain times Id found myself not really watching what was going on but just watching what button to press which took mea way fro what was happening.

The fight scene was good fun but more so watching the action and not the interaction as you either watched the buttons or watched the scen unravel or at least that was how i felt when i was playing it,

At times I was also wondering what I should be doing next as the buttons would be telling you what to do then all of a sudden i felt i was elft in the lurch not knowing i fi should be moving or not. I am sure some of this would become second nature as you get into the game.

I liked the story with each character and it had some nice touches like the glasses of the second character but i wanted more. I would consider renting this game but i doubt if i would buy it.

However, EA have now provided the opportunity to specify player aggressiveness when going for the ball. Slider bars can be set to dictate the `enthusiasm` that your players display when going in for tackles which has certainly been a missing factor in most of the games in the market today. 50/50 challenges have just got much more interesting!
Accurate Physics
Physics you say? Well, now that EA are paying more attention to the finer points of their games they have decided to include accurate physics in terms of players` vital statistics. Never before have weight and bulk of players come into the game so much. This is especially evident when defending. The strength difference between players can easily be seen now providing a much more realistic experience. Just beware that with strength comes the inherent speed restrictions so don`t go chucking you your heaviest lump straight in at centreback as you`ll soon be watching the nippy strikers go streaking past you into the box!

The physics doesn`t stop there though, EA have made a concerted effort to make the ball behaviour seem even more realistic than ever. This is especially noticeable when bouncing off different parts of the body and the speed at which impact occurs.
Overall Gaming Experience
The overall experience has been increased thanks to many new environmental enhancements including some fantastic new camera angles. It`s amazing how different the game seems by simply varying the viewing angle once in a while. Such a small change actually creates a completely new game increasing the lifecycle of the game no end.
EA have made such an excellent attempt to plug the holes in the previous versions of the game and have achieved a much smoother, more complete experience. Is it finally time for FIFA to regain its rightful place at the top of the football simulation games? If you`re trying to figure out what video games to spend your hard earned cash on then this one should be at the top of your list.

What i really like about Warhawk is that every time you play it, it is different.
Maybe you don’t fancy running around much so you can find a missile launcher station and just sit in it and shoot down planes, it is great fun if there are lots of planes about.

If that isn’t your cup of tea maybe you would like to jump in a plan and have a dog fight with the other planes, or maybe you want to drive around in a tank blowing up others. This game just about has something for everyone including the sniper rifle which can be so much fun.

After PS3 games, then what?
Well, one would think that developments in the next decade would definitely grow at an exponential rate. It would not be unreasonable to expect that developers would come up with some gaming console that would enable its users to literally be in the game. Considering that virtual games are now present, continued research on the technology would probably yield devices that can be hook to our nervous system, and would function somewhat like holograms.

Every game strives to be better and better and longs for the technology to be able to use real time processing and real time footge to make the ultimate game.

The latest games like Gears of Wars is certainly getting there even if it is slowly. The graphics are improving and improving with Gears if war the detail is so good compared to other games. The new 3rd gen games will be pushing the boundaries of the consoles and in the future i am sure we will be in the game.

This will ultimately lead to greater income losses for manufacturing giant Sony. This is a somewhat contradictory position for Sony to take when one takes into consideration the intense preparation that it is making in its all-out battle for supremacy in the video game industry. This is the logic that must be remembered so that it could place its name back in the growth list category. PS3 Games are set to be launched by middle of November this year. Simultaneous launchings of the console have already been scheduled in three different countries namely, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan. Reports say the game will have revolutionary interface systems, which will include the use of Blu-Ray media. This does not mean that the game will not play DVD and CD media because it still will.

Watever the case may be, we will have to wait until the release of the Playstation 3, it will be a feature packed console like nothing consumers have seen before.
